Third Drawer Down

We've loved the Third Drawer Down range for quite some time and were thrilled to be able to secure some of their famous tea towels for Add to Cart. Perfect as a gift or even hang on the wall with one of our handy magnetic holders

The humble tea towel is one of Third Drawer Down's signature artist products.

Third Drawer Down collaborated with David Shrigley to produce these. Large Fancy Room Filled With Cr*p was going to be the title for Shrigley's first retrospective show at the Hayward Gallery in London until it was changed to Brain Activity. Originally, these tea towels were printed in a limited edition of 1000. Due to their popularity, they have been re-released by Third Drawer Down in a new colourway as an open edition.

About the Artist
David Shrigley is a Glasgow-based artist whose drawing style evolved as a reaction to the seriousness of the art he was expected to produce at art school. He bases his work on intuition rather than long-winded theory. Shrigley is also a self-editor, ripping up whatever he thinks doesn't work into teeny-weeny pieces so that they can't be recycled. He holds onto the things that surprise him and make him laugh.
